FAQ - Frequently, or not so, asked questions

What does ROAR84 stand for?

ROAR is an Acronym for: Resurrection Of Alternative Retro
84 is for 1984 - on of the most musically diverse and influential years of the 80's decade.  When we first started the band, it was simply called ROAR.  In 2005 we decided to add the 84 mostly because it rhymes and makes our name more memorable.

How long has ROAR84 been around?
Our band was formed in June 2003, following an ad placed in the Buffalo News.  We've been performing since Labor Day Weekend 2003.

When are you playing next and where?
Check the Live Shows page, duh.

Will you perform out of the Buffalo area?
Yes, with advance booking.  See the contact page for info.

Do you play the song___________?
Check our song list page for what we're currently performing.  If you don't see your song, let us know that you think we should consider learning it.  We'll be adding new songs often.

Why don't you guys play at ____________?
Chances are, they don't know about us yet.  There are lots of places that we think we'd like to perform at.  Not every venue suits our musical style however.  If we haven't played at your favorite live music club, let them know about us.  Be sure to mention that you'll have ALL of your friends there if we get the gig :)
